They transfer heat from the chip to the outer aluminum case keeping them very cool. This product comes bundled with our in house Stars 900 thermal compound, enough for all 12 repairs.

the XBOX 360 Bulk Hardware Repair Kit did not have the Thermal Compound with the kit tried to get the Thermal Compound from the seller and the seller became snobby with me i only ask the seller to overnight or two day it to me this how i had it shipped to me.and the seller wouldn't hear of it Amazon refunded my money my advice to anyone looking to getting this is to look else where!!!
