Customer Reviews:

GREAT PRODUCT AND SELLER!!!!!! By Linda A. Borges
All I can say about this seller and product is that they're absolutely GREAT! The shipping is so damn fast. I ordered it on Friday and it was here Monday. The controller itself is exactly as described. It is pretty cool to use with the FN FAL on Black Ops and all other semi auto guns. All I can say is if you're looking for a modded controller BUY FROM LIGHTNING MODZ!!!!!!!

Full Time Xbox User By Kdog
This is a great product, a little confusing to use at first even with the instructions, but eventually i figured it out by playing Xbox. This is a cool controller, it had blue leds and has a rapid fire mod. Although the edge it gives in online gaming is slight, its still cool to use in solo missions vs. the non modded AI. I played online with this controller and i think its gonna be awhile for me to get used to the fact that the controller does the work now, all i have to do is find ammo and point, fire and bam kills seem to be easier. Not sure if it helped in Halo Reach but it sure felt like it did, although i usually get a good amount of kills, using this thing made me get less lol I do know its because I'm not used to it yet and after i do, i'm sure its gonna be killer. Great controller combo and style, can't beat the price. Rapid Fire is expensive depending on the version of it, Version 2 i believe runs the same amount as a new controller, 50-60.00 and this product seems to hit two birds with one stone. Thanks again, ps shipping is AWESOME!!!:)6 of 6

From a Halo Reach "only" player By Glenda Edwards
First, I want to state that I almost exclusively play Halo Reach and truth told, I'm not very good. However, I really enjoy the game and was looking to find something to help my 40yr old self compete better against the legions of highly lethal teens and young adults. Enter the above modded controller. Before I go any further, I must first state that this controller does NOT make you an immediate WMD in Halo Reach. Primarily, because Bungie eliminated the potential advantage of all modded controllers in Halo Reach with their "capped max fire rate." So, for those who don't know, there are highly skilled persons that can, and often will still pwn you, even with one of these awesome controllers.
So what's the advantage you might ask? Simple, Accuracy. As any Halo Reach player will account, the tool of trade in Reach is the DMR. If you're like me, reflexes not quite what they used to be, it's very frustrating trying to strafe and aim,all while having to continously pull the trigger button over and over. For me, that extra trigger twitch always seemed to make my shots more erratic. Now, with this modded controller, all you have to do in short to mid range combat is hold the trigger button down and use what "talent" you have simply concentrating on the strafe and subsequent placement of your shots.
Why you might ask, do i state only short to mid range combat? Well, because the mod setting for Halo Reach isn't set to fire at the precise moment of reticle bloom closure. It's "almost" set at the noob "trigger spamming" speed. Now bear in mind, that isn't a bad thing on most slayer map's. I've won many a dmr duels because i simply shot my opponet 5 times faster than he was able to shoot me. Thanks to the strafe and mod. However, for the longer shot, you must forgo the mod and rely on your own shot placemet abilities. Which is still easily accomplished by pulling the trigger as you normaly would without the mod. Now, having covered that, it is possible to reprogram your controller, as explained in the instructions shipped with it, andconfigure it to fire the dmr at the precise moment of reticle closure. For those interested, I believe it to be exactly 2sps. Anyway, set at this speed your dmr will be as precise as a surgeons scapel. You can simply hold down the trigger and the mod will shoot for you perfectly. During tests on forge, I could shoot all the way across any map and never leave but one impact hole. The trade off however, is that is fires considerably slower than what most trigger spammers fire on all close to mid range combat. So even though your shots are more precise, everyone knows that the first 4 shots of a dmr does the same damage whether you're hit in the head or the foot. It's the last head shot that counts, and unfortunately at close range, the spammer will win over most precision mods.
However, this precise mode i programmed is absolutely perfect for BTB. With a DMR set at this firing speed on a huge map, you are almost the above mentioned WMD. Simply zoom, aim and let the mod work for you and you will be amazed at the amount of kills you accumulate. Simply put, almost every 5 shots and you put another one down. However, I do spend90% of my time in regular "vanilla Slayer," not BTB.
I waited exactly one month to write this review, so i could give a few statistics with the controller. As stated earlier I know I am just an average player and I don't claim to be great or even good, so please consider this as I list my poor stats and subsequent improvements in one month below:
1. KD 1.02 to 1.11
2. kills a game 10.43 to 11.01
3. deaths a game 10.23 to 09.95
4. went from a postive 4500 overall kd to over 7000 positive kd in one month
5. in one month alone i have accumulated almost 3000 dmr kills alone, making my DMR kd 18,476 kills and 14,146 deaths.
So, there's my review. Hope it helps some of you who play halo who are on the fence about a controller such as this. It really helped me and I'm not ashamed to use it. If you're already a halo master, well this controller probably isn't for you. If however, you're like me and need a little boost to help you compete, this thing will really work well for you. It does take a few days to get used to playing with this controller though, so plese keep that in mind as well. Also, as a closing note, as with any mod, they are designed for semi auto weapons. Automatic weapons are basicaly useless with this or any other mod on the market. The assualt rifle is adequate, but you will certainly not notice a succinct advantage over anyone else. If you're a hated and often detested Needler spammer, this mod will certainly not be for you. With this mod on, the needler will only fire one needle at a time hehe. Also, on that same token, while the mod is on, you cannot use the beam rifle or overcharge the plasma pistol. However, if/when you get a hold of the concussion rifle you will be a death dealing mofo! That weapon is beast with this mod, trust me!
In closing, i highly recommend this controller to all my "halo buds". This is a high quality product that delivers everything it promised. When i next have money to burn, i will be purchasing myself another one as well.

Customer Reviews:

Excellent Controller By Gamer420
This is a really good contoller. I would recommend this to anyone. The only small thing that get's to me is the center button led lights. I love the blue shinny lights, but they dim as the batterys get lower. Kind of cool. Although I have two bars and I can barly see the lights on. :|

Runs out of battery to fast By Thomas R. Allbee
So I bought this controller with high expectations and I must say I was kind oflet down. I don't really play call of duty black ops anymore but it does work for the game. I find that the blue LED makes the controller run out of battery really fast. Once the controller is low on battery the blue LED becomes very dim and I find myself having to replace the batteries more frequently then all my controllers. When you are having a long gaming session this really isn't the controller to use. The call of duty modern warfare 2 mode is pretty slow for a modded controller and the burst modes are great. The bursts modes work great in MW2 and in Cod 5. I would say that this controller was really meant for call of duty 5 because I play that game with the controller and the controller fires SUPER fast. All in all, this controller is worth its money if you are playing call of duty 5 and black ops, not a good MW2 controller.

UPDATE (6 months later) I still use the controller, the mod works perfectly just runs out of battery to fast. But if you turn off vibration of the controller then it will not run out of battery nearly as fast. It just gets annoying to have no vibrations on the controller since I'm used to vibration.

amazing By immature teen
for starters it came a day before the estamated shipping date/which makes me love their reliability, the controller was amazing shiny brand new the mod works fine i yet to try it on black ops as my disk broke but im positive it will work too,i love this company and controller and i recomend this 100% this seller is top notch 3 thumbs up---------------

->ok its been about a month and a half and i still own this controller and it wors perfectly here is some of the extremly minor things ive encounterd with this product if you play with this controller and have the mod on for like a day or too the mod will slow down but all it needs is a quick 30-60 minture cool off and its back to lightning speed very good also if the battery is not at 90% or higher the led's will not be as bright but u can counter this with rechargable batteries by plugging it in no biggie but i tottally would buy it is a must have buy buy buy very durable and reliable

Customer Reviews:

PES 2013 or FIFA 13 By rhobes
So you're probably asking yourself - which game should I buy this year...PES or FIFA?

Having played both in previous years - and becoming frustrated with the issues of PES 2012 (online play, players with superhuman speed outpacing any defence), I decided to pick up a copy of FIFA 13 and see what the fuss was all about.

To be honest, FIFA 13 is a really great game. I'd played FIFA 08 and 09 a few years back and was amazed at just how much the game play had improved!
The modes, licenses, commentary and music are all superb - and are easily way better than anything PES has to offer.
The stadiums look terrific, player movements are smooth and nicely animated and online gaming is top notch.

But after playing it for about a week and having read some positive reviews about this year's version of PES, I decided to try out the demo.
& that was the tipping point - the demo just felt more fun to play than FIFA and the game play seemed more realistic.
...Long story short, I sold my copy of FIFA and bought PES - and I've been a happy camper ever since.

So what's different?

1) The pace is slower - you actually have time to pass the ball around to your other players while trying to break down a defence (like Barcelona would). I felt that was missing in FIFA, where the pitch just seems more crowded for some reason, and you're constantly rushed to either dribble past defenders or quickly rush a pass to another player so as not to lose possession.

2) Passing seems more crisp and responsive to the controls - so an errant or intercepted pass is more likely due to a player's mistake or carelessness.

3) Defending has been improved - you won't see as many unstoppable sprints by Ronaldo or Messi as you did in PES 2012.

Yes, the commentary's terrible and the lack of licenses is a bit of inconvenience - but those are quickly forgotten when you start playing a game. It's just that good.
...So go ahead and pick up a copy of PES 2013 - you won't regret it! Must buy.

Great game By Dennisv28
This game is great, it is by far, the most fun and enjoyable soccer game I have ever played. The improvements are amazing and outstanding, gameplay is very fun and REALISTIC. You just feel something different than when playing FIFA, even FIFA 13 (which I bought and played with for a couple of days, after that I sold it).
Definitely recommended, 100% recommended.

PES is simply less frustrating, good football By tonys
I bought Fifa 12 after not having a football game for a long time. I played it for a year, and it did have a lot of nice features. The greatest positive of the Fifa franchise is content. Because they have exclusive contracts they can include all the teams you want and more. They have so many players that you can spend hours looking through players. They have a lot of different "modes" which remind me a bit of Facebook games. If you want a role-playing game and not a football game, Fifa is the game for you.

But the current generation 12+13 have issues. It is really hard to be competitive on Professional level or above, frustratingly hard. Defenders are way too good, way to fast. Passers rarely make mistakes. A opponent player can be under severe pressure on the touchline and still deliver a cross field pass right to a team-mate. This never happens in real football. There is a lag between when you press the button and your player takes action. This is the biggest deal-breaker with the current generation that still persists in Fifa 13. You may get few chances a game and this will blow many of them. The players rarely make any smart runs unless you bump your mode up to attacking and beyond. The through-pass system usually makes the wrong decision (PES overcomes this with total freedom passes on a play-by-play basis). The goal celebrations are completely unrealistic. The commentators spout random facts over and over and often call a pass a shot. The crowd are card-board cutouts which from certain angles becomes very distracting and cheesy. Manager mode will sell big players like Rooney and Messi behind your back. The injury/ card system is way to over-happy when you designate the computer to simulate a game. Players like Neymar are rendered useless because they have the stamina of a small child. The best feature of Fifa is that what it lacks in actual fun, it makes up back for in addictiveness - That is - in between the frustrations that make you never want to play it again. It is addictive because it is expansive.

PES 2013 while obviously lacking in content makes back up for this in game play. It is NOT hard. As a Fifa 12 player I was able to play a game and actually score *gasp*, even on professional level. The computer actually makes mistakes. Players make good runs. I can manually slot a pass through if I doubt the computer will choose the right path by pressing the L2 button. Even if I don't, the through-pass system is pretty good. Key players actually move like themselves - quite amazing to see considering the players in Fifa all seem like cardboard cutouts of 1 or 2 generic players. Celebrations are realistic. For example, Neymar dances. Just last night, I was down a goal close to the end and Rooney grabs the ball out of the net and runs to the center for the restart. Passes and shots are surprisingly delay-free, if not 100% of the time, most of the time. The crowd is sufficient and not obviously cardboard cutouts. Stadiums are beautiful and the shading/lighting looks less cartoony that Fifa 13 does.

PES is NOT complex or hard to play on a superficial level. I'm not sure why people keep saying this over and over again. Could it be because the game starts up with an extensive tutorial you can chose to skip? This was one of my main frustrations with Fifa. There were 4 tutorials in the whole game and no instruction booklet. It basically left it up to you to figure out what to do, as if every Fifa owner has been playing the game for years. And as for tricks, Fifa Street will teach you they keys but NOT Fifa. So they are trying to co-opt you into buying Street as well, make Fifa your whole life and game library.

The main thing, in my view, is that when I played the PES demo, I smiled and laughed and was excited again about football. This is something that Fifa 12 has yet to make me do. PES is just fun to play.

Of course, coming from Fifa, the funding issues are apparent as Fifa is an EA big seller. EA is able to throw a lot of money at the game. The subtitles in master mode could have been replaced with simple dialogue. The wrong team names can be mostly fixed with updates published on the Internet by enthusiasts in the PES community.

I have not played PES 2013 yet as much as I have Fifa 12 in the past year, but the frustrations that PES fixed for me have been well worth paying the opening-week price in my opinion. After playing the Fifa 13 demo, I realised that Fifa had not fixed the most glaring problems.

Pros
- Fun
- Realistic
- Seems like you are watching a game on TV
- Key players behave like themselves
- No key-press delay
- Players are more intelligent
- Opposition will actually make mistakes
- Fan community
- In-game and in-manual help

Cons
- Changed team names
- Lower budget means not as flashy and less time-waste content

Customer Reviews:

Incredibly fun and Immersive! By Heisenberg
If you spend more than 10 minutes with this game, it's very hard to turn off. Stadiums, fields, players model all look good, but the animation is really nice. The crowds really get into the action with all the chants, it is absolutely awesome. The controls have a bit of a steep learning curve, but once you get the hang of it, the game feels very natural to control. For those that complain about licensing, please remember that updated Option Files will take care of that! This is the only game that has UEFA & Copa Libertadores. I really hope more people play online this year, the community needs to grow!

Great relief from Fifa 2012!! By Juan
The AI of FIFA 12 was so horrendous that this year I decided to make the switch and go with PES. Keep in mind I've never played PES before, other than trying out the demo beforehand.
I've only played 1 full game and most of the training (which has HIGH standards) and tried the league play for a few minutes. Thus far I am very pleased with the flexibility and detail of PES. Fifa does have better presentation and leagues (because EA is using it financial superiority to monopolizing league endorsement!!)
If you havent experienced the superior AI and detail to gameplay that PES offers you're depriving yourself out of a genuinely great soccer experience. I'm wont be going back to FIFA any time soon!! :)5 of 5

Much improved from last year's game By Ardita Kola
I played the demo and loved it but I was still wary that the final product may not be the same as the demo (demos of 11 and 12 were completely different from the actual game).
Game modes are pretty much the same as last year with the exception of Club Boss which is now gone.
New for this game is the addition of the Brazilian league (fully licensed) and the addition of 3 brazilian stadiums and all 20 La Liga (spanish league) stadiums. There are 50 stadiums in the game but you can create many more with the Create A Stadium option.

The biggest improvement is the thing that matters the most which is the gameplay. Manual passing and shooting are great in this game. Use manual settings for a more realistic experience.
The defending system has also changed a bit. You really have perfectly time your tackles or else the opponent will just skip past you. Also gone is the speed merchant attribute. No more playing against a team full of speed merchants in MLO.

One flaw this game is the through balls. The CPU abuses the through ball and it's how you concede most of the goals against it.
Very annoying until you learn how to defend them.

Still the gameplay is great and very addicting. I can't stop playing it. You learn something new in every game you play.

Anyone who wants a realistic soccer experience should get the new PES.

Customer Reviews:

Playability really lacking ... By R. Kastl
I picked up this game expecting a good LucasArts game. I was very disappointed.

While the game can be fun at times, the playability is really not up to what I'd expect and most of the challenges are just flat out annoying. The character has to have a lot of things like overly dramatic light sabre slashes that (if you happen to be facing the wrong direction) will make your character fall off into an abyss, long after you've killed your opponent. And when your character gets hit by an enemy, there is so much cinematic physical action, that it can literally take forever for your character to get back on his feet--meanwhile, your enemies are re-loading and hitting you again. This kind of play which puts all the eggs into the basket of neat-o cinematic action sequences really leaves the gaming experience a marathon of frustration and jerky gameplay.

And let's not forget to mention that you'll need the latest and greatest (specialized) hardware to play this game. I ran this game on my brand new MacBook Pro 17" and had to run it at 800x600 resolution, just to get decent playability. I'd have loved to play at native 1920x1200 resolution, but that nearly killed my system and the game was entirely unplayable.

I should have heeded other reviews By Seattleite
I have a brand new iMac 21.5", and the game runs VERY SLOWLY on any but the 800x600 resolution. If you go to [...], they specifically state that their ported version does not support the nVidia GeForce 8400m that is standard with the iMac. The graphics are great at the higher resolutions, but you play at a snail's pace (a friend has the XBOX version, and it is 10x faster than the fastest on this version).

Decent game, fun, but is a resource demon! By Book B
Ok. I bought this for $39.95 at the Apple Store because I wanted to play the Hoth, Tatooine and Jedi Temple levels. I played the game originally on the Playstation 3, and liked it very much, but I did not buy the Sith edition which had the other levels (did not know this otherwise I would have both the Sith edition for PS3). Everywhere I look the PS3 Sith version is being scalped by crooks on eBay for $100+. So I decided to get it for my Mac and try to play the extra levels and get the story that way for only $39.95 +tx. I also have an Xbox 360, but the Xbox360 version is not much cheaper than the PS3 crooked version.

Ok. Performance. The graphics on the Mac (or computer version), is noticeably sharper and cleaner than the console version (PS3). It's pretty clear that the console version graphics are probably less detailed and "beautiful" so that it will work at a decent frame rate. But I did like the PS3 version and I thought the graphics were also good there. The Macintosh I have is a 2010 21.5" iMac. It has a 512MB Radeon 5670 graphics (decent but not great), 8GB DDR3 1333Mhz (more than enough), and a 3.6 GHz Core i5 processor (fastest dual core out there) with a 1 TB hard drive, running MacOS 10.6.4. I play the game at 1920x1080 resolution which is the native resolution of the iMac screen (21.5"). If I play at lower resolutions it just crops in on the left and right or top and bottom. I have checked the High Detail box in the start up window of the game, which I guess means max settings--adjusting the game settings is really poor since you don't really get to change anything other than resolution, unlike StarCraft II which allows you to change almost every aspect of graphics and game performance settings. The initial level in snow outside the cave before fighting the snow beasts slows down a bit but does not get jumpy. It looks very slightly like a gentle slow motion kinda thing. Once inside the cave the slow motion is gone and it's very smooth and responsive. If I try to run the game at 11280x1024 that same snow part is faster and has no "slow motion" affect. I ran it full screen and in window mode and the result was the same. There was a 25GB or so game install from the 2 disks inside which seems on the VERY large side considering StarCraft II is only about 9-10GB.

I ran Activity Monitor with the game in windowed mode and as my iMac has both hyper threading and turbo boost, I could see VERY clearly that the CPU was not working very hard. It was probably pushing 20-30% maybe 40% of the bars and never went beyond that. So where is the slow down? Real simple. The graphics card. While the Radeon 5670 with 512MB is a decent card, it is really not meant as a gamer card--for that matter neither is this iMac, but it's decent as a midrange system. There are/were better ATI systems than that. I suspect the 2010 iMac 27" with the 5750 1GB card would have done a much better job, but I could not afford a 27" iMac and I got this iMac from a friend for a used 3 moth price of $1500, who upgraded to a MacPro. But still I think it's a pretty good iMac over all, and even though it plays StarCraft II really well in mostly HIGH settings, SWFU bogs down a bit. Clearly a quad core iMac might be a better option than my dual core, but I suspect the real issue is the video card, which in my iMac is good but not great.

My only conclusion is that the game is probably not coded as well as it could be and not optimized perfectly for the Mac, MacOS X and a Radeon 5670 or only 512MB of dedicated video memory. But it still plays fine...enough...and I get the extra levels I wanted to play for only $40 instead of 2X-3X that.

I would have preferred the Playstation 3 Sith edition. If I can find a PS3 version of the Sith edition for cheap I will get it and sell/donate/toss the Mac version.

It's not a bad game, sure not perfect, but it's fun, sounds great, has super graphics and once you learn the game controls it's very manageable. Interestingly, the console version is easier to control than the computer version. There is a 360 controller option but I have not figured out how the set that up. Sure there are better games out there but for $40 on a midrange iMac 2010, it's a good game.

Great service would buy from again. Bought as gift for grandson and he thought it was out of this world. Works great new in package as stated.

Bugged game By Danny Berrocal
This game was a gift for my little brother, he was really excited about it. After some days playing it, he let me know with a sad face that the game keeps getting stuck or frozen in certain parts of the game, and that he has to continuously pause the game in order to avoid the bug. I usually love Activision games, but this one has indeed disappointed me.

Customer Reviews:

It's OK By B. Zinter
First off this review is for the PC platform. This game has great graphics and a great story line. Your force powers are allot more powerful. Also it appears to run flawlessly, no patches etc. Great cut-scenes. But make no mistake it's a console game worked over so it runs on a PC. I got it hoping it would be like Jedi academy but it's not. Don't get me wrong for the most part it's a real fun game, but you might want to invest in console game controller for you computer so you can get past the star destroyer part. Or maybe a trackball. You'll see what I mean, it's a little tough with a mouse.
I kinda of hate to give this game three stars but I have to. The main reason is the fact that when you come to a boss, the camera zooms out and stays there just like your watching it in a stadium. Also just when your about to kill the boss the screen will flash the letters that you have to press at just the right time in order to finish killing him. Kinda like entering a code. So instead of getting to watch yourself kill him, you have to stare at the bottom of the screen, and hope you press the right letters. If you don't it restarts the last part of the fight.
I know every game has something about it somebody doesn't like. But this game has to many little things that add up to allot, and can make it kinda frustrating to play at times. Again, overall it's a fun game, especially the second time through because you get to keep your force powers you earned. If you liked Jedi academy or any of the other Star Wars Jedi games you might want to wait a little while till the price drops before buy this one.

Suffers from poor framerates By JBT
It has been quite some time since I have reviewed a game, but this game has 'forced' me to come out of my hiatus ;)

First off I didn't see the system requirements, so here are the more pertinent specs:

Minimal system requirements
* CPU: Dual-core CPU with 2.4 GHz (Intel core 2 Duo or Athlon X2)
* Graphics card: Shader model 3 with 256 MiByte VRAM (Radeon HD 2900 or Geforce 8800)
* HDD: 24 GByte + 1 GByte swap file

Recommended system requirements
* CPU: Intel core 2 Duo 2.8 GHz or AMD Athlon X2 5200+
* Graphics card: Radeon HD 4870 or Geforce 9800 GT

I was disappointed when they announced that they wouldn't be releasing this game for the PC, but had the hope that it would eventually be ported. Patience paid off (somewhat) and here we are, a year later and we finally have a PC version. I hate to say it but I wish they would have held off a bit longer so they could deliver a more polished product.

My current system falls within the recommended system requirements and I still suffer poor framerates during gameplay. The game often slows to a crawl and there are moments where the action becomes incomprehensible due to dropped frames. The recommended specs are not nearly high enough. I believe the limiting factor is the processor, where the demands come largely from the physics engine. I wouldn't attempt to play this game on anything short of a 2.8 GHz quad core processor. The recommended specifications imply that a dual core would suffice.

There are no options in the graphics department, other that choosing the resolution before launching the game. No ability to lower detail, draw distance, shadows, effects in an effort to boost performance on lower end machines. All or nothing.

Any in-game menu (changing audio levels, assigning earned skill points, etc.) require loading time, which frankly is a bit baffling in this day and age. I guess I've grown accustomed to menus that are readily available.

I don't have much to say as far as gameplay is concerned. I figure the game has been out for over a year now, so most people will have an idea of what the gameplay is like. I wanted to focus mostly on the technical aspects, given that this is a PC release and the technical aspects must be discussed given the poor performance.

If you already own the console version and are considering a PC purchase you may want to know what the differences are. Firstly, they haven't addressed any issues that exist in the console version. The star destroyer level is still as annoying as ever, the targeting is just as random as it was. So what's new?
1) Keyboard and mouse controls, though I only recommend playing with a 360 controller. Other gamepad controller support is spotty at best.
2) Jedi Temple and Tatooine levels are included, though these were available for the console. A new Hoth level.

Not really worth a purchase if you've already played the title on a console, if anything the experience is likely to be lagged down and worse as a result.

Four stars for fun, because it's a blast when running smoothly. Two stars overall due to technical issues. You'd be far better off if you were to install three other games for the same amount of real estate that this game takes up (a whopping 24-25 Gig). If you are really determined to play this you may wish to wait for either an official patch that addresses performance, better graphics card driver releases that boost performance for this particular title, or until after current high end PC components become commonplace.

Not the best but pretty good By Eric L. Willard
I purchased this with higher expectations than the game could provide so I'll be fair.
Review:
-From installation, you can already change your costume to many cool past characters and even some cool recent costumes from the game you are already playing. Changing costumes changes your whole appearence. You can play as Luke Skywalker (more than one version) or famous other Jedi/Sith including Darth Maul and Darth Sion. Some costumes changes are for your character specifically so you keep your face and only change clothes. You will unlock more as you progress through the game.
-Controls are a little annoying especially targeting early in the game while surrounded. When you don't have repulse or lightning shield it's really annoying but some fast jumping or force dashing can counter these enemies so it's not a big annoyance. I never had any problems with actual controling the character ie. BUGS.
-Force powers and skills are upgradable. The only problem with their process is, once you click on one power or attribute, you permanantly upgrade it. There is no backing out. It has a reset button but it costs you points.
-Lightsaber crystals can be changed once you unlock them throughout the game. I really need to find that BLACK CRYSTAL. Oh..The upgrade screen will let you know what each attribute or power is with handy descriptions but on the lightsaber screen, they give you ZERO reason to change your lighsaber color because they give you no explaination what each crystal will do. There are enhancing crystals that it DOES tell you what it does though but the regular primary crystals are, "Red crystal, Compressed red crystal, Unstable red crystal". I think it just changed the look of the blade.
Important..If you are a single player gamer that doesn't shy away from using a cheat code from time to time, cheats disable gamesaves and will block some force powers from being unlocked. You may need that power for the next level and if you quit and restart, you go all the way back to square 1. The game will still autosave at points for you to restart if you simply die but you still do not have that force lightning you need to open a door to progress. All I can say is, if you use even the smallest cheat code, be ready to go through the whole game without quiting but if a much needed power is blocked, you cannot progress. If you can keep going, pause the game and start again tomorrow without closing it.
-Enemies. Although I hate respawning of the same enemy over and over in ANY game, this one mixes it up with 2-3 different versions. Maybe a few warriors will attack and a tribal shaman will be in the fight and then a tribal chief will be there. This causes you to mix up your attack styles.
Rancors are not as bad as you think. Find a high up place to force lightening it from above or hit and run from the ground. It's still cool to take them on. Especially in the finishing moves.
Surprisingly, boss battles weren't all that challenging but required some quick thinking and changing of powers and fighting styles. Usually they are other familiar Jedi, bounty hunters, etc.
-There are plenty of easter eggs in the game. Look them up online. JarJar in carbonite is my fav.
Finally, the cost. Although it was a bit high priced for the overall quality of game, if you have the cash, it's a good game. If you don't have the cash, wait a little while and see if it will drop.

Customer Reviews:

It's okay By Mike
Got it for my son for his birthday. He is a big spiderman fan, but it was unable to keep his attention on the DS compared to other games.

Good, but WAY too easy By Bella Swan fan
If this game wasn't ridiculously easy, I would've given this game a better score. It only took me about two hours for me to beat this game. It would've taken me even less time if I hadn't stopped to try and get a better score and look for things such as Daily Bugle headlines on some levels along the way. Even the final boss battle only took me two minutes. I did like that on levels, you can get a high score. You get points for things such as beating up bad guys and time. The highest score you can get is three stars. You will have to write down how many points you get though, because the game does not keep track of that for you. This is a feature I like because it makes a game more challenging and I love games that are challenging. Bottom line, I would only recommend this game to people like me who love Spider-Man games and want to have all of them, even if it is too easy.

ASM: Not What I Expected By Zarion K.
I am not the best at video games, so I expected this to be a challenge. My goal was to finish The Amazing Spider-Man in a month or two. If I'm not lucky, a year. Instead, I finished it in less than two days. The plot is pretty good, but it seems more like an episode of a Spider-Man tv show than a video game plot. Previous games (Shattered Dimensions, Edge of TIme) had puzzles. The only puzzle in this game is a simple challenge of avoiding electrified walls. Finally, the game I am referring to is the Nintendo DS version of The Amazing Spider-Man. If you are hoping that some of the characters from other version of this game are in here, such as Vermin, the Rhino, the Black Cat, and Nattie, then you are mistaken. You can only spot references to Vermin and the Black Cat in Daily Bugle headlines. Speaking of things that are not included, you can NOT visit Peter Parker's apartment, collect vintage Spider-Man issues, or special suits, 50th anniversary or otherwise.

UPDATE: This website (<...>) even says that the Rhino, Iguana, and Black Cat will be in the game.

Customer Reviews:

Better than the regular Force Unleashed By D. Minor
If you waited a while and haven't yet bought The Force Unleashed, well consider yourself lucky and pick up this addition. It's a lot more addictive and fun. I own both versions. I had The Force Unleashed for Xbox 360, and I bought this Force Unleashed Ulitmate Sith for PS3, as well as owning The Force Unleashed for PSP (what can I say I own all gaming consoles). This adds three levels to the original game that to me I enjoy more than some of the games regular levels, this game is made to answer the "what if" question; like can you imagine Luke Skywalker becoming the apprentice to Starkiller (who killed his father Vader)?
Now the Sith Edition for Xbox 360 contains 2 disks, the first is just the regular game that's been out for a little over a year, with a bonus disk featuring the 3 new levels. On the PS3 version you get one disk that contains everything. I also wanted to clear this up, you don't get 10 collector cards, you get one (of either 10 different) card and a book that shows you the other. It's nice thou, it's foil stamped, etc. And what I think is really nice, is the case this game is in, it's not plastic it's a tin case. Makes for a dramatic look. Certainly a nice christmas gift for any Star Wars fan, even if they already own the Original Force Unleashed as I did.

Unfortunately Substandard Edition By Milo Price
This is just the game with all the DLC now included on the disc. They didn't even change the menus or anything to reflect the "Special Edition"-ness (yes, that's right, the loading times between menus are still there, even after the 5-gig install). No bug fixes, backwards compatibility, anything. Your old saves don't work on here if you have any and the bonus missions are very short, even the exclusive one. The trophies are a little buggy too, because apparently kills in the bonus levels don't count toward some trophies (I counted). The non-canon storyline is interesting enough, but it still feels incomplete, even with the addition of the Hoth DLC. If you were going to buy all of the DLC, this costs about the same, and if you haven't played the game yet, this is the edition to buy, but overall there's not a ton of reason to buy it if you've played the game. It comes with ten collector's cards (and one out of ten foil cards, are you supposed to buy the game ten times or what?) and the exact same manual from the first game.

Much better than the original By Bradley S. Mattice
I originally purchased The Force Unleashed shortly after its initial release, and was rather disappointed with it. The story was alright, but there were several crippling glitches and gameplay issues with the game that tarnished the overall experience. I later sold it on eBay.
One year later, I heard about the Ultimate Sith Edition and figured I'd give it a shot. A much better experience. I didn't encounter any of the glitches that were in the original version, the gameplay was more polished, and the addition of Trophies was a bonus. I would give the game an A overall.
The DLC is somewhat disappointing. There are three packs, the Tatooine and Jedi Temple packs (previously released) and a new, exclusive Hoth level.
The problem with all three packs is that they're too short to be meaningful. 35 minutes for the Temple, 25 for Tatooine, and 20 for Hoth. And, unfortunately, the gameplay issues that plagued the original release of the game returned. This is why the entire game gets only 4 stars.

But don't let subpar DLC prevent you from purchasing this game. It's worth the 40 dollars by itself, and the steel case is a nice addition.

The Amazing Spider Man Game By tanay
The Amazing Spider Man for the Wii console is a fun beat'em up in which you can perform cool tricks, flips and combos. One thing I think Activision could have added is the free roam feature, which is not there in the Wii version, but is in the Xbox game and PS3 version of the game.

NO free rome By Francis J. Kovac
There's nothing fun for the Wii version because there's no free Rome and free Rome
Is all the fun right.

Took out the fun By Matthew B Thompson
They took out all the elements that make a game enjoyable post-Grand Theft Auto III and left in all the garbage that's been dated for well over a decade. Please don't put out a Wii version if it's gonna be like this. Neither of my sons can play it more than five minutes before becoming bored and/or frustrated.

Customer Reviews:

If you enjoy action platformers and star wars it doesn't get much better By Benjamin S. Sprague
Again I'm given the difficult task of reviewing a game of mixed renown. In the case of Star Wars Unleashed it is safe to say it did well with its' fan base selling millions of copies but was received with lukewarm scrutiny by the critics. Because of this I did not know quite what to expect. Having just beat the game all I can say is it delivered the goods I expected and was in no way a disappointment. Like many other games that belong to the action platform genre it is a blast while playing but despite the fun you are having it ends too abruptly.

If there is a single crime Force Unleashed is guilty of it is that in some ways it is akin to playing God of War with a light saber. Finishing off bosses or large foes requires button mash mini games. Most are easy enough with the hardest one requiring the player to pull a Star Destroyer from the sky as Tie fighters attack mercilessly. As you swathe your way through storm troopers, rebels, aliens, and walkers you collect points from slain foes which eventually make you "level up" so you can improve force powers or buy brand new ones. There are many epic feats Star killer can do and luckily enough a few special attacks such as "lightning bomb" are brand new to the franchise.

Most surprising is the story line is top notch. Side characters such as the beautiful and resourceful Imperial pilot Eclipse and Proxy the friendly yet psychotic droid are oddly endearing. The voice acting is delivered wonderfully as you would expect from a Lucas arts title. In some ways the plot pulled me in just as much as the one in Knights of the old republic though Force Unleashed should not be mistaken for an rpg.

The only thing Force Unleashed can be faulted for is that you visit some worlds twice. Felucia and Kashyk come to mind immediately though I'm happy to say that the lay out drastically changes for each visit. The environments can be truly breathtaking and I was very impressed by the graphics as a whole.

In my whole time playing I can only think of one glitch. When I fought Vader the second time our life bars froze. Pretty much we were both invincible so I had to start my battle over with him upon resetting my 360. I was glad the same glitch did not happen twice. I should mention though the load times are slow the auto save points are put in good places so rest assured dying does not require you restart the whole level.

On account this is the Ultimate Sith edition you are also getting the Jedi temple, Tattoine, and Hoth levels. Two of these missions extend an alternate history in which Star Killer becomes the new Darth Vader. The Jedi Temple was exclusive to the ps2 version until now.

How worth while this game is depends on two factors. If you've already beaten Force Unleashed I'm hesitant to say if the 3 hours of extra content will be worth it for you. Secondly be forewarned this is a Star Wars game from the action plat former mold thus you can likely beat it in one or two nights if you have nothing better to do.

If however you want to know how The Rebellion got started and be put in the shoes of one of the most epic Jedi/Sith rear kickers of all time Force Unleashed Ultimate Sith edition is a steal at the present asking price!

Pros

+ A plot of romance, betrayal, redemption, and conspiracies delivered with flair and passion.

+ Beautiful breath-taking visuals

+Mostly fluid combat and varied ways of using Force powers

+Game does not penalize you for failing real time event button combinations on the lowest difficulty

+Some of the best voice acting I've heard in awhile

Cons

-It is difficult to lock onto what you want sometimes to target objects or foes with your Jedi abilities.

-The sound track is not bad per se but we've all heard these same tired musical scores thousands of times by now.

-The game is not completely absent of glitches.

-Can be beaten quickly

- If you've already beaten the original I cannot in good conscious suggest you trudge through the Ultimate edition for a measly 3 additional hours of play on the special disc that includes the bonus levels. Only the Hoth mission is exclusive. The others can be purchased on Xbox live as downloadable content.

Ending Thoughts: It is hard for me to describe exactly how I feel about Force Unleashed Ultimate Sith Edition. Most complaints I could level at it would also have to be taken up with other games from the action genre. While it doesn't do anything new it does it very well.

Certain people will have a beef with Unleashed merely on account it uses the Star Wars license. Many reviewers are prone to attack a title if it some how connects with a movie or popular franchise. Force Unleashed shamefully draws both those cards.

Yet I never witnessed an instance this game lied about what it was. For those of us that wanted a game similar to Devil may cry or God of war with Jedi, Sith, and Storm trooper it is a dream come true. Had Unleashed been an rpg I would have complained about its' short span. However safe to say most of us know the appeal of this romp is throwing around hapless unfortunate souls with our minds right before we electrocute them with force lightning! On that raw visceral level Unleashed succeeds while offering a memorable tale to boot!

So much fun!!! By Elena M. Camargo
Star Wars The Force Unleashed was probably the best Star Wars game I've ever played. I didn't actually own it though so when I saw this deal for The Ultimate Sith Edition I jumped on it. For some people it's probably not worth the buy if they already own the 2 maps that were previously released. Disc 1 is the original game with all of the character packs. Disc 2 is the three newer maps and all the rest of the previously released downloadable content. The game is so much fun I say trade in your old one and pick this one up it's worth it too for a cheaper price.

Great Game, but stick with the original. By Wesley C. Graham
A great game at a great price, but wait? Is it? Having never purchased the The Force Unleashed when it originally released, mostly due to some game play annoyances, I finally decided to buy it after they decided to release an ultimate collection containing all of the game's post release dlc, assuming this to be the better value. For this better value, I paid an additional $15-20, hoping that they trade of for nearly $30 worth of dlc would be worth it. However, I was very much wrong, a fact I discovered when I received my product. Open opening my game, I found that the game had two discs, one with the original game, the other disc containing the three dlc packs that had been released for the game. Upon completing everything in the main adventure, I had hoped to carry over my game stats to the dlc packs, but unfortunately, that is not allowed. You have to start separate save files for each dlc pack, something that is very inconvenient, but also very annoying after having spent 30-40 hours buffing your character only for it to go to waste. Each dlc pack was no longer than 1-2 hours, and that was playing through very slowly, and overall, did not add to the experience of the original game. So, my advice, just like the title indicates, is to save your money, and just buy the original game.

Spiderman 2 + Batman Arkham City = Impressive Open City Game By QuickSilverSeven
I was very skeptical about getting another Spiderman game until I took the time to learn more about Beenox's newest effort, which was 2 years in the making, so it's not a rush job.

That good news aside, this is without a doubt one of the best super hero games I've played. This game borrows heavily from Batman from Rocksteady, but to great effect. This has many moments where you feel like you're playing Spiderman with a Batman: Arkham City Template underneath. In an early mission, it even has a Correctional Prison Facility with crazy Asylum inmates. Rather than write a bunch of paragraphs to filter through, I'll save you some time reading and just mention some key highlights below:

-Positives:
-Controls are buttery smooth and responsive with plenty of freedom to swing, sprint up walls, evade, leap, freefall and more. Incredible job. No twitchy on foot as in Spiderman 2.
-The behind the shoulder camera view is excellent and for the first time in an open city Spiderman game, makes you feel like Spiderman, seeing things from a close but comfortable 3PV, increasing the intensity and the sense of "Being there", in the game compared to previous efforts where Spiderman was a tiny character onscreen. Think of the views from Batman Arkham City/Asylum.
-Fights are modeled directly after Rocksteady's Batman Games and are a blast because of it. Spidy is no push over with some amazing martial arts acrobatic fighting skills. Fast and action packed.
-The swinging skills are fast and fluid. Spidy's a pro from the start.
-Plenty of Batman-like upgrades for Spidy's skills to upgrade.
-Crackdown like leaping/jumping fun, collecting comics instead of orbs.
-Plenty of major villains with clever boss battles.
-Reasonable representation of NYC's Manhattan.
-interiors look good along with the main characters.
-Plenty of traffic, but needs Driver:SF dense pedestrians to feel like NYC streets.
-Manhattan is a very large playground with streets, parks, and plenty of skyscrapers to leap from and climb.
-3 difficulty levels. Casual, Medium, Hardcore. Decent options.
-Nice city sound FX for ambience.
-Very responsive and helpful look camera from all angles.
-Spiderman's trademark moves captured to near perfection with comic book style.
-Assassin's Creed like platforming/vaulting.
-Sight see easily on helicopters.
-Awesome sense of freefalling.
-Solid voice acting and interesting story.
-Plenty to see, do and explore with freedom and side missions.
-Home base is your apartment, and you can replay interiors.
-Great draw distance for the city as far as the eyes can see.
CONTROLS: Left analog move, right analog look, X is jump, square is punch/attack, triangle is interact with objects, circle is web shoot, Right shoulder is web target travel (very cool and intuitive), right bumper is web swinging, select is map/upgrades, start is pause menu.

-Negatives:
-Here's a big one for Spiderman Geeks who must have everything absolutely realistic and within reason: Remember in Spiderman 2, how you can earn the ability to sling a web ahead of you into the air, and then pull jump forward to it quickly? Just pretend you had the same skill here, to explain the fact that Spidy can fling webs into the air and swing from them, provided you're within distance of a building. Just pretend he's flicking up a web parachute and it's more believable. Once I got over this misrepresentation of believability, the swinging became a blast. I still say they should have Spidy hit the buildings and not the air above to swing on.
-Arkham City rules in terms of graphical power. This game is larger, but the city graphics, although with some nice, gritty details, garbage cans, litter and so on, could've been better. Think Driver: San Francisco city graphics for an idea. Decent at best. Interiors look the best. Characters look good, Spidy mostly.
-No day night cycle. Missions determine when daytime changes.

To say this is a drastic improvement over Spiderman 2 and 3 would be an understatement, as groundbreaking as Spiderman 2 on the PS2/XBox was.

If you ever wanted to feel like Spiderman exploring an open city at will, this is the closest you're going to get on current systems until the next game. Highly recommended and surprisingly a great licensed Movie Tie In game that feels like it's own game because it is. BUY IT if you want a great Spiderman Game, despite any ill will you might have towards Activision.

Trapped Inside A Web By Dan
Story Mode - The best story in a Spider-Man game. It flows and actually makes sense. Spider-Man suit even messes up as you take damage. You will fight robots, infected people, cross-species, and thugs. The story is about the different cross-species getting lose and Spider-Man has to stop it after he kinda caused the problem to begin with. Spider-Man has to save the people of New York, find a cure for the infected and save Gwen, his love. Spider-Man can do what he can with the help of Dr. Connors who was also the lizard. The story for this takes place after the movie, which releases July 3rd in the United States. Overall, the story is fantastic and Spider-Man fans won't be disapointed. 100/100(A+)

Graphics - Not spectacular. The framerate is fine. The environments look good. Spider-Man looks real. Some character details look bad, but not to the point where you can't stand it. At least they don't look cartoonish. 90/100(A-)

Gameplay - The game plays well. It's an open world game. The combat is better than ever and the web swinging and camera makes me feel like I'm Spider-Man. You get to use special moves and upgrade Spider-Man. Web crawling is good. Throughout the city you'll see petty crimes going on that where you can choose to take action. There's this feature called Web Rush, where you can just swing fast to different areas by pressing the R1 button or holding it to slow down time and do attacks. There's also web retreat so you can get out the way when you're in trouble by pressing the L1 button. You can also take photos by pressing L2. You'll feel a lot of vibration through your controller in this game. You'll encounter a lot of action. You also get to play as Stan Lee with the Stan Lee Adventure Pack. 100/100(A+)

Multiplayer - No multiplayer.

Playing Time/Content: This game should take you at least 20 hours to get 100 percent. Probably 30 hours. It's definitely worth $60. There's enough content in this single-player open world game to keep you satisfied. 100/100(A+)

Overall score: 97.5(A+)

+ Lengthy story
+ Side missions

Spider-Sense is..kinda tingling By K. Garcia
Disclaimer: I am a spiderman fan, fav. spidey games were Spiderman 2 and web of shadows and overall, Beenox has disappointed me with their spidey games. That being said, i must say, i am enjoying this game. I've been playing it for a week and am now ready to review it;

There have been a lot of reviews that are extremely good and those that are extremely bad; I feel that this game is above average. This is no skyrim or arkham asylum. However, as a spidey fan, im finding many enjoyable elements of the game.

Pros:

--Controls
*Web swinging is amazing! As you swing, the environment has a
cool, motion blur effect that adds an organic feel to the swinging.

*Climbing/perch - As you're web climbing, you can press your back against
the climbing surface, which is useful for taking pics, stealth take downs, etc.

*Web-Rush - Stylized version of "zip-lining" (for those who are familiar with
the previous games.) Difference is: you have the option of choosing where u
would like to zip-line as time freezes, then slowly begins to move again.

--Production value (Style)
*Story -- Takes place after the events that occured in the movie. Story is well done (by comic book
standards) again, I wouldnt compare it to the story in games like Metal Gear,
but that doesnt mean its a horrible story. Spider-man faces many ethical
challenges (within the script) that makes the story very interesting. There are some parts where i
expected the story (or scene) to be predictable, then something unexpected
would happen. Theres even an official OSCORP commercial with footage of real people that slowly transitions to computer animation.
--Story reminds me a lot of the spider-slayer episodes in the 90's cartoon.
If you enjoyed that story arch, you'll enjoy this story.

--Secret costumes - There are different website that will tell you how to unlock most of the costumes. The suits are the best i've seen in the spiderman series.

*Camera Angles -- In addition to the blur effect of the environment while
swinging, the "camera" placement is very tasteful. When you're high up, the
city looks beautiful. There are also a bunch of times where you'll see over the
shoulder camera shots (ala arkham city/asylum). Really makes you feel like
you're seeing everything thru spideys perspective.
--There are brief POV/FPS moments when web-rushing that also looks cool.
Very reminiscant of the metroid prime series.

*Combat system/boss battles/level design -- For the sake of describing the production value, i put all of these in the same category. The free roaming aspect of spiderman 3 and web of shadows was a little under-whelming. I like it a lot better here. People have commented on the lack of population. In the story, a majority of the population is sick, and there are HUGE boss battles that take place in the city; it would make sense for the streets not to be heavily populated. Speaking of which....the boss battles...are epic! I was NOT expecting boss battles like this! I honestly felt like it was gonna be the usually, button mashing, pattern-fighting mechanic BS that the other games have suffered from. Fighting spiderslayers in the streets of manhattan is SO much fun. It feels slightly similar to certain God of War boss battles. The standard combat is very stylized. When ur fighting a group of villains, and build up the combo meter and correctly use your spidersense to dodge and counter certain attacks, its visually pleasing.

--CONS!(thnx for reading this far! :-)
*Inconsistancy!!!!
--Difficulty - Game is way too easy. I had to up the difficulty to the highest setting. Sometimes its still too easy, other times its way too hard. [To give u a sense of my gaming capability, i play most games in normal. I've played devil may cry and arkham asylum in hard; and Ninja Gaiden in easy. (could never play it on normal -_-)]
--Combat - even though the combat is very stylish, its no web of shadows. Before you up the combo meter, its very sluggish. Think of street fighter and constantly button mashing on the Hard Punch button.

--Mechanics - Sometimes you can swing with no buildings around, sometimes you cant. For instance, I can be on top of the highest building and zip-line (or web rush) towards the air!? Vs. jumping off a building, pressing the web swing button and nothing happens until im closer to the ground. Might be for aesthetic purposes (motion blur effect of cars and static objects in the environment passing by you as u swing)
-spider-sense - the spider-sense in Web of shadows and Spiderman 2 while not perfect, were in the right direction. This game took a few steps back from it. In the past games, you can use the spider-sense to scan for bad guys, dodge projectiles and look for items. All of that is gone here. U can only use it to dodge PHYSICAL attacks and as a WARNING for PROJECTILE attacks. You cannot dodge the projectiles. Also, there are certain times during boss battles where the spider-sense wont even activate??

-Lack of Control - The controls for moving spiderman are for the most part fluid; however, there are certain moments where u just loose control. For instance, with arkham city, when going through the vents, you grapple the vent gate, then the controller vibrates. Then u must mash on the button to pull off the gate, while the controller vibrates harder. Here, its similar, but way too automatic. U just press a button, and he quickly shoots his web to the vent gate (or vent screen), zip lines to the gate, pulls it off and enters. ALL that happens after the push of one button. That automatic feeling is very random and also happens with the combat and swinging. ALSO, you have to press the buttons ALL THE WAY DOWN in order for it to register. And its not my controller, this happens with both controllers AND the PS move controllers i have. (Has anyone else experienced this?)

-Dialogue - The acting is great, the story is great, the dialogue however, can get annoying. I wont get into it, it just sounds like bad, melodramatic TV at times.

Condensed Review- This game does feel like the developers started the production of this game while thinking "hey, lets make a spiderman game thats like arkham asylum" I dont think beenox are the best people to make a spiderman game. While the game has its flaws, its still a beautiful game thats loads of fun. I like having the option of continuing the story arch whenever I want or taking a break from the story (if im tired from work) and i might want to swing around, and do quick side missions (taking pics is fun in this game)

Furthermore - Everyone has different tastes. I know people who have hated blockbuster titles like grand theft auto, call of duty and metal gear series. However, i do feel that the popular titles appeal to a much broader audience. This is not one of those games. Even though this game is for a specific crowd, it has enough charm to please most. Its a great game in general, (the best since spiderman 2). So if playing dress-up as spiderman, swinging around a well developed city and having epic boss battles sounds like a good time to you, then this is worth buying.
Thnx for reading

Product Description:
The U.S. Army Universal Gaming Headset with 3D Effect designed by CTA Digital for PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 or PC provides the strategic edge you need for victory in any modern gaming warfare scenario. On the battlefield, often the key to winning isn't firepower but communication. Any seasoned first person shooter player knows all too well that a sure path to defeat is being unable to hear clear signals from your squad or the approaching enemy. Wearing uncomfortable headsets for long periods of gameplay can lead to fatigue as well, but this headset is designed to address these factors, and provide comfort that can last through even the longest of campaigns. The Gaming Headset connects to a monitor or sound system with standard RCA stereo jacks (red and white) and directly to your console's USB port via separate cables, thus allowing users to adjust the volume of in-game audio and chat communication independently with the wired remote. The removable mic can also be easily muted with a simple switch on the remote so you don't have to worry about transmitting every word you say. When you really want to feel like you're on the battlefront and fully hear every distinct game detail, press the 3D Sound Effect button on the remote for a widened audio field that will surround you with the power of triple drivers in each ear. Not only does all this allow for a finely tuned and completely customized audio experience, but the audio quality itself is rich with the dynamic base that all serious gamers crave. You can finally hear subtle details that will give you the competitive advantage, or simply enjoy extended play sessions thanks to the comfortable padding. This headset will give you the flexibility to play on any system and fully control your immersion within the game. Customer Reviews:

Some Good & Some Bad Here By USMC Combat Vet
This makes my 5TH set of gaming headphones. Well 6 if you count a 25 year old Radio Shack pair..... After I retired, I became an old guy who spends sometimes 12-18 hours a day gaming. Why so much? I became disabled and it takes my mind of pain to some degree. I also find all that just a GREAT excuse to "play". How do these stack up to all my other headsets?

Well, for the most part I use my ASTRO Gaming A40 set. Now while it is "wired" it does have wires. Confused? Well so was I at first. To THIS headset. I have sets from the cheap & crappy to the best. This set falls right square in the middle. The ear cups are average in their comfort (to MY head anyway), the sound is average. I find the 3D effect just that. An EFFECT. Kind of cheesy to me after having HONEST surround sound for gaming....I hear no honest directional capability when listening for WHERE an enemy is while sneaking up on me. What I do hear is that it makes the sound (whatever it may be) just a bit more able to notice and at least is sort of an "alert" to pay more attention. But then, by the time it got my attention, I am dead so not much use unless you are into suicide :-)

The GOOD for me are:
1-Connects to any & all gaming platforms you may use. I have the PS3, PS Vita, XBOX and a gaming computer plus 2 laptops. You can get this to work on it all. This is a HUGE advantage.
2-Separate control for game and microphone.
3-ALL needed cables and connectors are INCLUDED. No running to some store to make it work!
4-Mic is removable

The BAD for me:

1-Individual setups and be a bit confusing UNTIL you get familiar when switching between platforms
2-14 feet of wire is nice, but for my very LARGE Big screen LCD, I NEED 18-22 feet (But that may not be the norm for most folks?)
3-Cost is a little high for AVERAGE sound, but then again you DO get all the needed wires & connections.

Who should buy this? Someone who needs one single headset for EVERYTHING you game on. Sometimes you just don't need the very best sounding, the absolute most comfy headset, or a completely different headset for EACH platform you game on. This may just be average in ALL areas, but this one single item will let you play on EVERYTHING and that is actually pretty huge when you think about it. You can't expect miracles, but you won't have to go buy 3 different headsets either!

Great headset By Blue
Let me start by saying Ive never used any other headset besides the stock xbox 360 one.

I've been using this for a few weeks now and I must say, I'm not disappointed! It was easy to set up and sounds great. The 3D sound amplifies the effects (which is great for war games like COD and BF)

Pros.
Price!! No better headset for the price out there.
Sturdy
Separate volume controls for game sound and mic
Comfortable (and I wear a 7 5/8 hat)
Can be used for multi platforms
Block out most sound (some might see this as a con)

Cons.
Cord length

If your looking for a great gaming headset and don't want to spend $100, look no further!! I would recommend these to anyone4 of 4

Simply Amazing By mman540
Like the title says this head set is Simply Amazing!!!

I read almost all the reviews for this head set and the thing I never really figured out was if the sound quality was similar to the Turtle Beach headsets or not. When I say this I mean that if I were to be able to tell if someone was walking up from my backside on my left. The answer is YES! I was playing MW3 and I could tell there was grenades being thrown and detonating to my right and then heard someone coming from to my left, and not just to my left but from the front left of me. So if you were hesitant to buy this because you didn't know if the sound quality is as good as Turtle Beachs, then go a head and buy it.

The 3-D effect is just amazing, at first I played MW3 with it off to test out the sound quality, I could easily predict where everyone was by their footsteps, but when I turned on the 3-d effect I could feel the grenade explode near me, I could hear the fire crackling and the flies buzzing. When turning on 3D i was afraid if I would be able to hear my teammates clearly because the game was so loud, but that wasn't a problem at all I could hear them clearly and the same goes for them as they could hear me clearly as well.

My problems are that the wire might be a little too short, if you have a home theater then you need will need to buy an extension chord. I sit 10 ft from my TV and xbox and the chord is hanging off the ground for a good two- three inches, but I don't really mind that...

Compared to the TBs X12s they, US ARMY headset, is most definetly heavier but you know what that just tells me this head set is sturdier... If you are wondering whether to buy this head set or the X12s then let me tell you, I wouldn't trade this headset in for an x12, because one the 3-d is so amazing, its universial, and the the drivers 1 40mm and 2 15mm drivers in each ear for the US army headset vs the X12s' 50 mm.

This is an easier decision for me.

So the only con for me is really the chord's size.
