Customer Reviews:
It's over 9000!!!! By David A. Hernadez
When DBZ Budokai 1 came out I immediately fell in love with the game. 2 years later, Budokai 3 came out and it exploded into a new intense era of DBZ games. I remember spending countless hours and hours playing Budokai 3 and after it's 10 year release of 2002 the series of DBZ Budokai is still amazing. The remastered collection brings out the most upbringing graphics of today's standards. The visuals make the game even more intense and fun as well. To be honest, I was never fond of the Tenkaichi series because it drifted away from the fighting style in which Budokai containted. Although both series have their own set of standards, I choose the Budokai series instead since there was so much action and criteria.
Budokai 1 contains 23 characters
Budokai 3 contains 38 characters including 8 fusions and reincarnations which total 46 characters.
Pros:
Remastered in HD
Supports trophies
Beautiful graphics
Intense action and fighting (especially Budokai 3)
Cons:
No online multiplayer
DBZ Budokai 2 is not included
Price should at least be $30
Other characters should have been imported from DBZ Infinite World such as Super Android 17, Baby Vegeta, Pan, etc.
Nevertheless if you are new to the DBZ Budokai series and like and/or love fast action packed fighting games, then this is the game you will definitely want to pick up and play. As for old comers, you will still enjoy the game it left out since 2002 :D
P.S
For new comers, I would play Budokai 1 first so you can see and learn the origin of how the Budokai series started and as you go into Budokai 3, be prepared to be spend countless hours of staying home and playing it :D

What 9000? :O!!!Great Game. I'll answer the questions about the new music... By MRDEEP7
First off I will say this game is the same as Budokai 1 and Budokai 3, except with better graphics, achievements/trophies, and new music.
People seemed to be concerned about the music, the fact that the origninal music from the Budokai games was replace with the new music from the Tenkaichi games is due to the fact the composer for the Budokai games had plagerized the soundtrack from another artist. Due to the that the music was changed.
Aside from that this game is an excellent buy, with the only knock on it being there is no online mode.HD PS2 Dragonball Games By cmckittrick91
I never owned the Budokai games on the ps2 but now that they're in a ps3 hd collection I'll go ahead and try them out. The story modes each have their own pros and cons but they both work well and are highly enjoyable. The fighting mechanics are definitely better in Budokai 3 but the original's mechanics arn't too terrible where you can't play. The games both play on the same screen as opposed to current Dragonball games where multiplayer is played in splitscreen which I love because a fighting game where the camera is behind my character is a characteristic I can't stand. The only downside is that every character plays basically the same (aside from transformations) and the story mode can be beaten by spamming the same combo over and over. I wouldn't say it's worth the price of a new title but still better than to be classified as a bargain bin. If your a fan of Dragonball pick up this game is its around $30.
